#March4MHC - Day 1

Have you seen the latest email from your Class Agents? If not, check below to catch up!

It’s Day 1 of the March4MHC Challenge! Please see below some FAQs about this event.

What is March4MHC?

March4MHC is a way for the entire Mount Holyoke community — alums, students, families, faculty, and staff — to come together in support of the College. A group of anonymous donors will champion our efforts by giving $50,000 to The Mount Holyoke Fund for every 500 donors who make a gift during the challenge days (March 7 and 8), up to $500,000!

Why should I participate?

Your support is an investment in the future of MHC. Your challenge gift will both empower our students in their individual journeys and uphold the legacy of academic excellence and distinction that defines Mount Holyoke. And, your support will enable Mount Holyoke to receive the challenge funds described above.

Where does the money go?

The Mount Holyoke Fund (MHF) is the College’s annual fund. (MHF gifts are not part of the endowment!) MHF gifts are put to work immediately to support the College’s most pressing needs and impact all aspects of campus life — providing funds to support student scholarship aid, recruit and retain the best faculty, update state-of-the-art learning environments, and keep Mount Holyoke’s 800-acre campus beautiful. Learn more about the MHF here

There are a number of different gift destinations you can choose from when you make your gift, ensuring that your support makes a difference where it matters most to you.

I’ve already made a gift to MHC this fiscal year... Will I be counted for the challenge?

Thank you so much for your support! Only gifts made during the challenge count toward the goal of 5,000 donors. Please consider an additional gift of any size during the challenge days to be counted.

What are the Class of 2002’s goals for March4MHC?

We need your help to reach our goals! We hope to:

  • Engage more than 66 classmates (the largest number of donors we have had in previous March4MHC campaigns). If we top that number this year, we earn additional funds for the college on behalf of our class.

  • Reactivate 15 donors who did not give to MHC during the 2022-2023 fiscal year and gain 5 donors who have never given. If we reach these goals, we unlock more challenge funds.

  • Raise more than $5,460 for MHC, which is the largest amount we have ever raised during #March4MHC campaigns.

We’ll be sharing our progress with you along the way via email and also on our Facebook page

How can I participate?

Make a gift today or tomorrow:

Thank you in advance for your support of #March4MHC and Mount Holyoke College!

Your gift matters. Every gift matters. We’re stronger together.
